Upcoming Comebacks
SE7EN is back!!!! YAY!! 4 long years is finally over!
After spending 3-4 years in the US, Se7en is finally making a comeback this spring/summer, according to YG. Note: take YG with a grain of salt but I’m 100% sure Se7en will be making a comeback this year!
I’ve been an avid fan of Se7en for years now and being the fan I am, I actually followed his so called “US debut”. Some of you may call it a failure, but I call it the beginning. It’s been hard not only on the fans, but on Se7en as well. The pressure he’s had, the loneliness (but Park Han Byul visited him for a while), and the constant “fail to attract fans”. When YG signed with RQM, I knew the debut would be a failure and it was just sad seeing Se7en go from a superstar in Korea to a nobody and someone who people hated, because they had no patience to his see his achievements. You don’t turn into a superstar in one day, especially in the US market, which is the hardest to break into!
For his upcoming comeback, I hope to see an even better Se7en, a new side of Se7en, some crazy music, some crazy dance moves by Shaun & Aimee ^^ and an album that is better than the already awesome ones he’s had! Oh..and maybe a Wahjoh Part 3 (aka Come Back to Me Pt. 3)! I also hope he includes the songs he had “unofficially” released for his US debut…aka Money Can’t Buy Me Love, Scandalous, You’ve Got Me & La La La English version!!

Rain is also set to make a comeback this April!
Rain also failed to make a boom in the US music industry but, he did kinda make his name in Hollywood, despite low ratings in the movies he’s starred in (Speed Racer & Ninja Assassin). Honestly, I wasn’t quite a fan of his but, I did like some of his songs and the I’m Coming album!
He will be releasing a mini album in April and then a special album in October.

With Sunmi gone and Hyerim in, Wonder Girls are gonna continue on with their international fame. The girls will be releasing a new album in April in the US but will use it to help promote them in Korea, China and the US.
It’s sad to see Sunmi gone, but we all need to move on. It’s still odd to see Hyerim in the group and it feels like something is missing when I don’t see Sunmi with them =(

Epik High will be coming out with a new album on March 9th, titled Epilogue! Don’t take the album title too seriously…it’s not really the end of Epik High…I think it’s more like the end of a chapter in their life and the start of a new one, since DJ Tukutz will be back in 2011 and Tablo’s wifewill be giving birth soon…hopefully next month or in April!

Hyori’s comeback has been pushed back to March, instead of this month.
BoA has also made a comeback…but in the Japanese music scene, with her 7th album, Identity.
2NE1 & Big Bang all released CF songs. 2NE1 released “Try to be Like Me” and Big Bang released “Lollipop 2″
4Minute’s collab with US singer, Amerie has been released too. Here’s a sneak preview before the album is released!

yeah…i know that was a lame title…hahaha! But it’s almost 1AM and my head hurts. I’ve been shoving my face into notes and textbooks for the past week…and spent more time at the library then at home…school sucks! One more final and I am done! After Tuesday, everything will be back to normal on this blog ^^

Wonder Girls on So You Think You Can Dance
Yup, the Wonder Girls were on it! And if you missed it…here’s a video of the performance!
I thought the performance was missing something…a spark, maybe?! I thought it could have been better. Some of it sounded like it was lip-synced…a bit disappointed in that. I love the girls and everything…but I feel this US debut of theirs kinda threw me off…seems like America’s not quite ready for them and the last thing I want is them being viewed as the the “Nobody” girls, “the girls from Jo Bro’s concerts” or even a Disney affiliation, since they were kinda managed by Papa Jo during the concert tour.

BaekGa was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. At first, he thought it was the after effects of an accident but when he went to go get his head checked, it was a brain tumor T___T Kim Jong Min is still in the military.

Bloody Note #2
MBLAQ member, Lee Joon, received a bloody note from a crazy fan, who apparently slit her wrists, before using it to write the note. The note said “Lee Chang Sun (his real name), don’t forget me. You are my everything to me. I love you. Remember that. XX.” This is the second a fan has sent in creepy like that, with the first being unlucky Taecyeon of 2PM. For those unaware, Taec’s note consisted of period blood and scatter pubes. Gross, eh?! Fans these days get crazier and crazier. And I wonder who should be blamed for this?! The big music chaebol’s of Korea or what?!

i’m still trying to find the whole nomination list…some of the awards disappeared after the show…like OST…i don’t know who won that…and some appeared…like best asian star, asian composer, asian recommends, hall of fame.
before you guys rant about deserving/not deserving awards…please keep in mind that not all nominated artists did not attend…therefore they did not get the award they deserve. in my opinion, there were a few artists that deserved their awards more than others. but boo hoo…that’s mnet and rigged awards for us! but this year, it was not as biased as last year. not as much drama either =)
i wished Jay could’ve been there with 2PM to accept their awards!
and yes..SM did boycott the awards so none of their artists showed up, EXCEPT for three of TVXQ (Jaejoong, Yoochun & Junsu). They accepted an award on BEHALF of the group. It was just sad T___T. you can find a subbed video of them receiving their award and giving out a speech on youtube. i don’t have time to find it at the moment…sorry >.<

Epikpop is now open!! Today is the first post that I’m writing and I hope that all of you will like it ^^
Epikpop is a blog for all your Korean Entertainment News…well kinda…hehehe. I’ll be writing about some of my fav. artists in Kpop and will also be posting random stuff that I like. This is a place where I’ll be sharing my interests with everyone and it is also a place for non-Korean speaking people to come together and discuss the things that we all have in common….kpop/korean entertainment!
For those of you who want to know how the name “epikpop” came from…here’s the explaination! For some reason, I like the word “epic” but because I like the way Epik High spells it, I chose to use the word “epik” and because this place is all about Korean Entertainment, I went with kpop. Combining the two…you get “epikpop”!
I may not always post a long post like this…sometimes I may just post a link to music or something..lol!
